I'm DONE with my Finals! WOOHOO! But the boredom is sinking in. Nevertheless, feels great to be free from the evil clutches of school, assignments and exams? I should be resting my Christmas break away. And do you believe Christmas is in 4 days and it should be snowing already, but it still isn't? Damn you global leaders. This is proof of GLOBAL WARMING! So no snowy white Christmas this year? :(

Anyway, tomorrow at this time I'll be on an airplane to Hong Kong, then transit to Kuala Lumpur. YAY! Can't wait. I love airplane flights: the food, ambience and entertainment. But for the life of me, I'm not done packing.

I know I haven't blogged here in a long time. I suppose many other people too. But for those who do (Yes, I'm thinking of you Melissa and WQ), ARIGATOU! Hope you guys are doing great. I won't be going to Singapore, most likely, but if anyone of you do come to KL, beep me through an email.

PS Sorry for the Japanese usage. Watching too many episodes of Japanese animes, mainly Bleach and Naruto! So I've picked up some Japanese phrases. Ha.. Take care you all. (:

you know what? me and lester again are trying to organise another 4/1 outing. haha... okay not the whole 4/1, just our clique. and apparently, everyone is too busy studying that they can't come on friday!

only me, joseph, shinye and lester are free. wonder if we should still go out. this is not working. i'm tired of trying to organise such gatherings. even shaoxun doesn't want to come!!!

tell you all something, i only have math and gp next week. weehee... so effectively i only need to study for math! because councillors will be busy with orientation 2 and so, we'll miss the rest of the block tests! and we will only take them the week after, so we will know the questions!!! wheeee.... so i have not much worries for chem and bio, all i have to study is math. yesh. then i can go out on friday.

hello everyone.... its me again. hee... sorry, i know i'm not a regular at this site but i'm trying okay? hope all of you had a great valentine's day =) and i've come to update all of you about what's happening with me. and with my two fellow comrades in nanyang with me. aka shinye and yixuan.

shinye's still attached to that dragon-boater in nanyang, jianhao. he's a nice fellow, they make a good couple. almost a year now...
yixuan... well... she's recently got herself a jurong sec boyfriend during the nov/dec holidays but they've goen their separate ways already.
and me......... same old same old. as in. literally as well. i'm turning 18 tomorrow. now that's old.

anyway... ahh... i tell you all arh.... last saturday was kinda.... bittersweet. read my blog to find out more if you want. click here if you wanna read it now.

the pang seh gang from 4/1 2004 has not stopped man... really... on saturday i thought i was going with all of them to church then for dinner afterward but apparrently, everyone pangseh-ed me til i was the last and only person left. sigh...... there was 5 of us at first, shinye, yixuan and 2 of my jc friends. and in the end, only me. dunno if i should just laugh the matter off..... i'm trying my best not to hold a grudge but i guess i was kinda.... upset. how!!!???

my long-awaited post.. :o

been really busy. just survived 2 weeks of hell. had a lab report due on wednesday, then on that sat had a midterm for environmental science, then on the next tuesday had a health studies assignment due, and then on wednesday had a pyschology midterm. totally killed me.. but now i have my reading week, and next next week i'm having 3 midterms on alternate days (mon, wed, fri). so i have to buck up and study..

how to? witht he winter olympics on. i'm keeping a close watch on ice skating, ice hockey and curling. and cheering on team canada! read my blog for updates, though i'm getting lazy to update much. i feel like i may jinx team canada if i keep on saying too many good things. you know how that you feel if you don't watch a broadcast, and then check for the results, it would be good? that's how i'm feeling now. LOL.

hhmm it's very cold here. sudden freeze down. my windows were covered with ice for the past 2 nights. i'm hoping spring is coming soon.. and i need to go out. i've been stuck at home, and this is killing me. going to read up a little.. listen to jack johnson! my current favourite singer. along with joe purdy.. they are the blues guys.. Wahahah "first" post in what seemed like aeons. Ok everyone is really quiet lolz. So I think I can complain a bit here... Firstly, a demure girl on the outside, but a bitch in the inside. It totally irks me. "The weather is rainy nowadays". "Oh right, the weather is rainy nowadays. And why do you think the weather is rainy nowadays?" Suddenly it's my fault the weather is like that. What the bloody shit was that man. I was merely just making a comment and it's my fault for making a comment. Oh well, some people are born to be dumb shits like these. They irritate the heck out of you. What to do? Endure.

Rain = slower walking for MANY people than usual. Oh well the road is slippery so... perhaps that's the reason. Oh yeah on the bus. There's this lady... stand there block the whole space, when many people want to board the bus and there's like room for the elephant behind her. Ok so nevermind, me and my friends moved pass her. She continued to stand there and caused another jam because not many people are as nice as me and my friends. So, the bus went off with lots of people at the bus stop, while having this huge gap at the back.... for the air molecules to occupy. Great.

Changed keyboard, changed power supply. My computer hates me T_T Ok just to show I am not dead. Please bear with my complains lolz. I feel if people are not going to give a heck care about such small things that happen, then don't bother doing any "big" charity just to show that you are kind or anything. It is afterall, just fake.

As I promised, I will blog on friday. Well today is the end of my attachment to Geylang Senior Citizen Health Centre (4th floor of Geylang Polyclinic). The experience has been GREAT! Learnt a lot there and also get the chance to see and know more about the poorer elderlies and also some tragic stories lah. Although helping the elderlies may sometimes be kind of difficult mainly due to language barrier, the satisfaction you get when you managed to help them is overwhelming. Haha well, this is gonna be a long post I think, seeing as how dead this place has become once again. If it bores you, then don't read haha.

1st day: Ok, so the first day there. We were introduced to the centre there by this so-called "nurse" from Philippines. Haha her english accent very cool. Every word must curl the tongue. After that very very short introduction, we were assigned duties to different areas where we are helping out. These areas mainly are Pantry, Homecare, BP station and Ambulance. Well, I was assigned to do homecare with another so-called "nurse" from China. Her hair got this tinge of red around the edges, cool haha. There was another under job attachment student from my school who was assigned the same thing lah. So ok, we set off at 9:00 am and took the MRT to Clementi from Aljunied. Long ride haha. Visited many homes and saw some elderly. The first one we saw was a diabetic couple. The most memorable thing was how swollen the man's foot was. Ok perhaps memorable isn't the word to use here. It was swollen until like as thick as a brick lah. Then he has trouble walking due to his legs' conditions. Ok then we went on more house visitings around the Clementi area around block 405 and 406. This is where the people who are under the social welfare (or was it public welfare) lives. The one-room kind of flats, and elderlies living by themselves in them. The area there was damn quiet and not many people can be seen. The flats are...well, very simple. Some of them don't even have a Television Set at home. They only have like a biscuit tin, a straw mattress, table, closet and some other things lah. Saw many this kind of elderly. This went on until about 2:00 pm then we went to have lunch and reached the centre at around 3:00 pm. Haha then it was "free time". This free time means that you can help out with anything, anywhere that needs help lah. The day ended at 5 pm lolz. Well this is roughly the 1st day.

Lolz I figured if I were to cover all the days, it will take too long lah aiya. More memorable things are meeting with some erm....more special elderly at the centre. There was a VERY CUTE grandma, short and very cute when she smiles lah. She smiles a lot too lolz. Then.....there's Singing Queen. She loves to sing songs ranging from "Xiao Bai Chuan", to "Tian Mi Mi" and "Yue Liang Dai Biao Wo De Xing". Well, when she starts talking to you, there's no stop to it lah haha. Her singing is well.....ok lolz. Met a very knowledgable and wise uncle. He knows too many languages lah lolz. He's one of the more normal ones around, can walk and talk lah. A few more are like, one malay woman who just wants to sleep from morning to afternoon lah. Then there's that woman who always try to run away by waiting at the locked gates. One malay uncle who only eat Milo and Biscuit for both breakfast and lunch. Many many others haha. Ok ok I think I shall stop, if not it is er....long.
Getting my pictures on Monday =D Well, if you all want to know more then tell me I post loh. Tons of other things lah. Overall, that place is very very fun, and a truly enriching experience.

i'm having my final week of schoolf or this term. hooray! but the final exams are in around 2 weeks, and i'm so not prepared. instead of slacking my time watching shows i downloaded and just wishing for it to be christmas soon. =s

potter mania is back. watching HP&TGOF has made me wanting to read book 4 and 6 now! the movie was amazing. i won't say much, since mel is going to watch it soon. but WOW. (:

i love hermione. she's like the silent supporter. and now, she's growing and showing the boys how much of a lady she can be. way to go, granger! i don't know, i always imagined hermione to somehow end up with harry, not ron (like in this movie and book 5 they hint at some attraction between both hermione and ron).

enough of HP. i thought of doing serious work today, but ended up sleeping my afternoon away. looks like tonight will be a long night.. go watch HP bear. i know you're a potter fan right? correct me if i'm wrong. cheerio!

Wow, thanks for blogging because I ask man! It is an honour lolz. I thought winter was suppose to be fun. Ah well guess it's just another um... "haven't experienced so think is fun" kind of thing. Pengz lah, you seemed like REALLY busy man. More busy than us lolz. So if we were on the edge of falling, you have already fallen lolz. Anyway, hang in there lolz. WQ, i'm blogging since you asked. how good i am. ok though my lab report was handed in on wednesday, i slacked (meaning sleep, eat, watch tv, watch tv, watch tv, watch tv, and watch more tv) the remaining wednesday and thursday away. lol. so here i am- part slacking, part working, part blogging, part dozing off.

i saw a shinye-lookalike yesterday. froze, started to perk up, and got sullen realizing how could shinye ever be in toronto? even if she is she would tell me first, i hope. so yea, it wasn't her. not even close. looked like shinye only from an angle. it will be so great to see someone familiar..

it's gonna be a sad 1-1/2 months to come. with snow and coming finals. surviving winter is tough as it is with the dark, cold days, and yet we have exams at that period. how apt and cleverly dumb. should be going to bed soon, unless something interesting keeps me awake.

Weird man what is the world coming to. Second case of "killed and um... chopped up" murder. so weilian won. well kudos to him. hhmm though i didn't watch or have heard them sing before, from the looks of it, many people in singapore are gaga over project superstar. at first i thought kelly/xinhui and junyang/weijian were tipped to win. but things change on a dime.
i agree with both of you guys. he will be successful in the first, second and a slight chance of his third album. kelly would have a bigger prospect of making it even to taiwan. come on, singapore produces mainly well-known female singers. like STEFANIE SUN, TANYA CHUA, KIT CHAN. okay maybe these three, and i love them all. well we will see..

GOSH! you know what my friend said, omg what a charity show! yup anyway, i do think weilian has the TALENT as a powerful singer, but he lacks the stage presence and the way how he sings the song, it is a bit too traditional! it's like some young guy [ tho' he doesn't really look like one] singing some old song?! and i don't think it's sympathy cos it's like people admire his determination and his bravery of joining this competition instead of dropping out. and i do think his singing attracts people.. he sings from his heart.... BUT!!! kelly should win. as all of you can see, kelly did perform up to expectation! perhaps above.. the picture of she and lin jun jie singing was spoilt by weilian la! truthfully.. i mean a superstar should be an idol... it's not a charity show or whatever.! i mean yes this may seem like discrimination, but weilian does lack the qualities of a superstar no matter how well he sings, or how well he touches us!
the whole night yesterday i was imagining how junyang + kelly/xinhui+ lin jun jie will make such a trio singing together... junyang + junjie are good friends la... and kelly/xinhui i'm sure they'll perform really well... then the grand finals will be a blast! not like last night's show... was kinda boring! weilian dint surprise us at all!

but! anyway four one them will get their contracts and i'm quite sure 3 out of the 4 of them will make it BIG! just because people support his determination(wL) doesn't mean they will buy his 2nd 3rd 4th etc. album right! and he seriously has to sing in a more modern way. =.=! and i think he has the potential cos no doubt he has a nice voie la. but i still think kelly should win....................

i pulled the disappearing act for the past few days. as usual slacking around. If you think my efficiency sucks, better think again. So alright, I originally thought my hard disk gone case. Format until 7%, jam. Wait like 20 mins+ then jump to 8% and continued normally. So it continued to proceed until 89% where the whole jamming thing starts again, this time with increasing waiting time. SO, I waited for like... ... ... ~4 hours+, just to wait for it to jump until 99%, and it jammed there. Wow, talk about wasting time.

Well, I managed to create 2 partitions in this single 40 GB hard disk, one partition having capacity 2 GB(the 'backup' OS for now), and now the other having around 36 GB of capacity. I used the 'backup' OS and formatted the 36 GB partition and installed another OS on that partition. So... I guess everything's back to normal again... for now.

Heh, the waiting time for formatting takes around 6 hours liao. Add that amount of time to ~8x loading time for the Bootable Windows XP Professional CD I had. Each loading time takes around 15 mins if lucky. If not, takes around 25 mins - 30 mins+.

BAH all in all, this dumb crap wasted around half of my sunday until 1:30 am and I woke up at 6:00 am today. I slept like 4 and a half hours. Ok, damn tired now due to more computer work done today at 6 pm, right after I came back from school, eg. Installing drivers for Sound and Video, Getting Macromedia Flash Player and Macromedia Shockwave Player...etc.

Phew, all the trouble. Conclusion: Some areas of hard disk spoil I think. Ok, need sleep...

It's about 15 mins into the start of Sunday. I am bored so I am here. The night scenery is just so nice. So quiet, calm and peaceful. Little road lamps lit up in the sea of darkness, just like fireflies in the night sky. Ah... the occasional roaring of buses' engines as they stop and go. The drivers are working at this hour. The air is cold and filled with the ever-so-refreshing smell of sea breeze. A misty area can be seen from a distance. Ah... that area is raining. Haha, take some time off, enjoy the peace around you. After that, it's back to the harsh reality of busy schedules, work and numerous competitions to climb to the top in every aspect so as to strive for a better future.

Yes I am bored like I said. Anyway, work hard and at the same time take care. =)

guess what i've been doing? watching that 70s show (read my blog for more info). i love the show, so damn hilarious. the gang of friends always share jokes and laughter, and pranks. i love the 70s. actually i kind of thing living back then is quite a bliss. there's tv, but i suppose it's boring, so alot of kids hang out with others. i'm kind of depressed after watching the show; because it just reminds me of reality. and worst, some cast are leaving the friends circle which reminds me of me even more. and then everything else changes.. bleh bleh.

well mel, i'm so touched that you trust us with your true feelings here. i want to see david! i saw his before but not his after. and all those talks about retaining, it's reverse psychology. they don't feel they are going to retain, but in order to feel that way (as they think everyone else is thinking that way, and if they don't think that way they will be odd) they think that way. haha. it's like reassuring others and themselves at the same time.

yea i do wonder how it would be like if i stayed back. for one thing, i know i won't be communicating with you guys like as much as i do now. in singapore there will be the stress and the new friends, while here there will be stress and a FEW new friends but the longing for home is so great that it nulls everything else. if i stayed in singapore, i surely will attend and maybe organise 4/1 class outings! Ahhhhhhhh, I screwed my maths test today! 30 marks, haven't mark only, 16+ marks gone case hahaha =P I don't know what I thinking lah damn it. Must go into frenzy mode!!! Must chiong!!!!!! Uh...no mel, this week end is a FAKE. It's not real! With so many tests next week, this weekend is non-existent. ahhhhhhhhhhhh I am going crazyyyyyyy. Bio test was difficult, Chem test was difficult. Everything so difficult!!!!!! Somebody save me!!! And.... please tell me about the YAHOO MAIL THING =P Maybe I need to nag at you then you will say? Hm...must try it out sometimes. =D

Ok um... Karthi really changed. Its either LJ or F. Sheesh, and when we going into a lift, one guy was like don't want to move in but the life got tons of space behind lah. So we moved in, then karthi say very loudly "Mother F". What was worst was that guy stared at me lah. Kao, not I say one loh.
